DIAMULATOR™ Software came to Bayleaf wanting to provide the engineering community with a precise, easy-to-use cavitation calculation service to reduce the risk of incorrect sizing specifications.
As the client had significant industry expertise in cavitation specifications and calculations but little experience in the online world, Bayleaf took the lead defining a SaaS business model, creating the DIAMULATOR™ Software identity and branding, designing a responsive marketing website, and building out a subscription-based online service.
The service incorporates manufacturers' specifications with real-time cavitation index and pipe velocity calculations, enabling engineering firms to identify optimal valve specifications and to reduce the costs associated with flashing and cavitation. Of upmost importance was the ability to output industry standard Valve Data Sheets, a synthesis of the complex data prepared by the service.
Bayleaf was instrumental adding value to the initial idea, moving it beyond a calculation service to a collaborative specification management tool. Adding workflow, version control, contacts management, user roles and reporting capabilities elevated the initial concept to an online business. Our client was enabled to self-manage the service the implementation of a .NET-based CMS for the marketing site, with multi-lingual support for future releases, and a recurring billing service for subscription management.
